Massimiliano Liberatore was born in Rome on October 28th , 1973.
In 2001, he had his degree in chemistry at university of Rome "La Sapienza".
After a short period in industry, dealing with purification of exhausted oils, he started a PhD fellowship in "Material Science" under the supervision of prof. Decker at university of Rome "La Sapienza". In 2004 he got his PhD, defending a thesis titled: "Preparazione e Caratterizzazione di film di V2O5 con ICS-PPG".
From January 2005 to January 2007 he worked as postdoctoral fellow in Germany, at Technical University of Darmstadt, in the group of prof. Jaegermann. His main research interest included preparation and characterization of thin film intercalation material for lithium batteries and electrochromic devices. Nowadays, he is postdoctoral fellow at university of Rome "Tor Vergata" under the supervision of prof. Di Carlo, being responsible for development and characterization of dye sensitized solar cells.
