Profile
Alessandro Lorenzo Palma obtained the Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering cum laude at University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2013 with a thesis on: "Water Splitting through Solar Cells with Perovskite" (Supervisor: Prof. Aldo Di Carlo). He carried out his thesis in the laboratories of C.H.O.S.E. (Centre for Hybrid and Organic Solar Energy) in Rome, Italy.
He obtained the European Label PhD in Electronics Engineering at University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2017 with a thesis on Laser Processing over Large Area Perovskite based Photovoltaic Modules.
Currently he is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at C.H.O.S.E. Labs
Research Activity
Alessandro Lorenzo Palma is involved in the modelling and realization of up-scaling of large area solar devices. In particular, his research topic is focused on the study and implementation of laser processes with micrometric precision for the realization of photovoltaic devices. Due to the solidity and scalability of the laser techniques, this particular research activity drives the realization of large area perovskite based solar modules, in the view of a forthcoming industrialization of this solution-process PV technology.
